E Street traffic between Rays Market and Oregon
Is it possible to install a couple posted speed limit signs on E Street to slow down the commuter madness? E Street is used by commuters and the 4-wheeler folks to "get through J-Ville as quickly as possible" avoiding California congestion. Why have radar at the city limits and at the same time allow 40-50 MPH within the city? Submitted By: Phil Gustafson

Ordinance # 584
Our apologies for any trouble you have found accessing information found about Ordinance # 584. I have checked the web address several times and it appears to be working. A google search will not find the site. It must be put directly into the address bar, any typo will send back an error. The State of Oregon requires us to notice with a particular format. It is rather scary language, but the proposed code changes will not effect most properties in Jacksonville. The biggest changes are to the Planned Unit Development (PUD) Section. I have been fielding calls all week, and feel that everyone who I have spoken with is pleased with the information they have received. Call me (Daryl) for more information (541) 899-1231. We charge for the paper copies because it is an expense for us. We all wish our budget allowed for more services for less money. Anyone is welcome to view the paper copy for free at our office. If you want to take it home, the charge is $3.85, or you can find it on ou

Ordinance #584
Tried to check this out at the Web site provided and didn't get anywhere...The site does not exist according to Google. So, I am still not sure what this is all about. Is is right that a person should be charged to get a paper copy?? I am sure a lot of people don't have a computer to look this up and will have to pay the fee. Course, then again, I have a computer and am not able to find it. I'll keep searching but might want to check the site on the letter that went out. Submitted By: Joyce

Ordinance #584
I went to my computer as soon as I received the notice from the city regarding Ordinance #584. We became alarmed that we may be effected by a decision regarding the creek, which borders our property on Carriage Lane. Last time we atttended a meeting which involved the city's Planning Commission we came away feeling unheard and powerless. We hope this time citizen involvement will make a difference. Please let me know how I can get more information. Submitted By: Kathy Vann
